The task concerning forest education, realised or co-organised by the Forest District have got different forms. These are, among others, meetings with the foresters, lectures and talks in schools, workshops along the nature trails, such actions as: „Wiosna bez płomieni (Spring without flames)", „Czysty las (Clean Forest)", „Sprzątanie świata (Cleaning the World)", art contest called „Czym Bór Darzy", meetings of children and the youth in the seeding nursery in Ołobok.

Partners of the Forest District concerning the forest education are local schools, local governments, church, press, television, and non - government organizations and associations. In the village Niedźwiedź, there has been taking place supralocal event called "Zawody Drwali (woodcutters' competitions)" for many years. The mentioned event is organised by the Forest District Świebodzin in cooperation with the Forestry Services Company Tomasz Karataj and the Commune Office in Łagów.

Within the area of the Forest District Świebodzin, there were marked out the following nature trails:

- „NIESŁYSZ", located in the area of theForest Rangers Area Krzeczkowo by Niesłysz Lake, with 6 stops labelled with thematic boards;

- „ZŁOTY POTOK", located in the area of the Forest Rangers Area Ołobok by Złoty Potok Lake, with 8 stops labelled with thematic boards;

- „SOKOLA GÓRA",located in the area of the Forest Rangers Area Dolina, with nature and history trail;

- „NAD JEZIOREM TRZEŚNIOWSKIM I W REZ. BUCZYNA ŁAGOWSKA", located in the area of theForest Rangers Areas Dolina and Długoszyn;

- „PAWSKI ŁUG I NAD JEZIOREM ŁAGOWSKIM", located in the area of the Forest Rangers Area Łagów.

The trails are used here by the workers of the Forest Service of the Forest District. In the open air, they try to carry on the talks on nature and forest with the youth every year.

- about the Forest District,

- about Net-cage Farm of the Hunting Game „ZAGÓRZE",

- about Vacation Centre „LEŚNIK" in Łagów,

- about Nature Prevention in the Forest District Świebodzin,

- with cooperation of ŁPK brochures about the nature reserves.

MTB Łagów – 2018

W dniu 15 lipca 2018 roku odbyła się w Łagowie kolejna XII edycja otwartych zawodów kolarstwa terenowego „MTB Łagów 2018” pod honorowym patronatem Pani Marszałek Województwa Lubuskiego, wliczanych do punktacji Lubuskiego Grand Prix MTB.

Na starcie organizowanego wyścigu, przy pięknej słonecznej pogodzie stanęło 370 zawodników w dwóch grupach wiekowych, którzy przygotowaną przez organizatorów trasę biegnącą ciekawymi przyrodniczo odcinkami rywalizując pokonali dojeżdżając do linii mety w Łagowie.

Oprócz dorosłych uczestników wyścigu, w organizowanych zawodach wzięło również udział 70 dzieci, którzy ścigając się wyznaczonymi przez organizatorów odcinkami ulic Łagowa rywalizowali o miano najszybszego malucha, otrzymując atrakcyjne nagrody i upominki.

Nadleśnictwo Świebodzin, jako współorganizator wyścigu zadbało o bezpieczeństwo zawodników na wyznaczonych drogach leśnych, jak również o ich zdrowie, częstując na mecie posiłkiem regeneracyjnym oraz napojami chłodzącymi. Ponadto w ramach promocji Państwowego Gospodarstwa Lasy Państwowe, na terenie amfiteatru Łagowskiego, pod murami zamku Joanitów urządziło stoisko promocyjne, gdzie z wykorzystaniem posiadanych materiałów promocyjnych i edukacyjnych promowało racjonalną gospodarkę leśne prowadzoną przez Lasy Państwowe.
